Interesting enough, but I see that 'Marvel Universe Citizen Stupidity Syndrome' extends to the mooks too; given the amount of stuff J Jonah Jameson has seen in his career (he's been mayor, right?), surely you would send more than just two mooks to threaten him?

I am glad the writer of this book remembered that Jonah is actually a fan of Cindy's superhero alter ego. I love the reversal in that Jonah is such a nice boss to Cindy and supportive of her superhero alter ego as opposed to how when Peter first worked for Jonah he was perpetually grumpy and short tempered and willing to blame Spider-Man for everything from the latest garbage strike to the assasination of Abraham Lincoln

JJJ being "Tough but out of his depth badass investiative journalist" is always more fun than him being an antagonist.

I like that writers have remembered he actually got some character development and isn't just the comic relief jerk he was back in the sixties

The thing is, its not a case of character development. He has always had these characteristics, pretty much. Its just that writers tend to ignore or point it out when convenient. Its not a case of a linear character developing over time, its just a matter of different writers chosing to emphasize different bits.

He needs a background of heroically fighting the Klan. Then his distrust of people who hide behind cloth would be more understandable.

Yay, Silk! Glad to see her headlining her own book again, even if that’s only for a miniseries.
