Arcade is nuts, but at least he's clever super-villain nuts. "Yes, this is on the cheap, but hey!" And he's dropped the "kill the X-Men for money" idea, at least.

John Greycrow being a mutant who is also "hard to kill" was established in the WEAPON X series, IIRC.

I liked how what seemed like a plothole here actually turned out to be foreshadowing that Mastermind and Sinister were up to their own scheming here

It was still a bad plan on Arcade's part even if the resurrections weren't a thing. The late Ms Locke seems to have been the brains of the operation.

Mastermind and Sinister are actually in it together -- Sinister just needed an excuse to create a clone farm outside of Krakoa.

I still seems like a gruesome experience. Not that she'd remember unless the backup happened at the exact wrong time but still. I can see playing along for a bit to try to avoid your child being shredded.

This one three part story made better use of Arcade as a villain than all twenty issues of that stupid Hunger Games rip off and its awful sequel did

Wait, can't the Masterminds create auditory hallucinations as part of their illusions? Asking for auditory confirmation of reality seems like a bad plan when dealing with someone who can control what you hear.
