"I think Zeb wrote an amazing story. I think he did a great job and I think he made a lot of Maddie fans. And listen, if you were already a Maddie fan and you’re mad at me for suggesting she didn’t have fans, I’m not saying she didn’t have fans — of course she had fans. But I’m saying, I feel like she’s more popular than she’s been in probably decades because Zeb wrote a really compelling arc about her." - Jordan White

"Is there something better to do with them than throw them into a prison or a cage, and punish them in ways that most certainly won't make them better/more compassionate? Paradise has to know what to do with these people, it has to have love for these people, or in my opinion it's not a paradise." - Zeb Wells

"What I love about Hickman's whole thing here is that there are no easy answers; he's taken the rug and pulled it out from under us. Reading X-Men comics for years and years, they were these super-powerful characters but their goal was to protect the humans who feared and hated them. What a noble goal. It's still simple heroism. But as soon as you take that and say, 'Okay, well now they have a different goal, their goal is to make a society,' then easy answers disappear. Good and evil disappear, and as a human reader you lose that safety net of knowing these characters have your best interests at heart. There's something dangerous about the entire enterprise that I love as a writer, that I would not have had the guts to do myself, but as soon as Jonathan did it, I knew I needed to get in there and play. I knew it would challenge me and my own preconceived notions." - Zeb Wells

"You could say Tarn leads something like Amenth’s version of the X-Men. They are feared and hated, but only because Tarn very much wants to be feared and hated. It’s his holy mission to be reviled. He’s a member of the Great Ring in the same way Mr. Sinister is a member of the Quiet Council. Uncomfortably." - Zeb Wells

"Is it a reaction to the fact that fans are in a fervor? I would say it’s more a reaction to the fact that the X-Writers are in a fervor. I think everybody is interested. We’ve had hot debates about Maddie on our X-Calls. We’ve had heated debates about her and what will happen with her. Honestly, there’s so much I want to say about it — I really can’t. I’m very interested in the response — I find it fascinating and really interesting, the response fans have to Maddie. That’s it. I’ll stop there." - Jordan D. White

Who thought it was a good idea to invite the antisocial HELLIONS to the fanciest bash of the year? Oh, no one? They weren't invited but they showed up anyway? Yeah, that sounds about right.

'And then Zeb [Wells] said, “OK, when they get to Arakko, I want them to meet like the Arakki X-Men, basically.” And we were like, “Great, that sounds great.”' - Jordan White

"Only X-Men fans see 20 characters fighting with swords and ask why so many characters were left out. There are a LOT of characters in this crossover, and more than just the swordbearers are important to it." - Jordan D. White

"I’d been out of the comics game for a couple of years, but picked up House of X to see what the fuss was about and was so captivated by both the scope of what Jonathan was doing, and the execution. I felt that buzz from comics that I hadn’t felt in a while, and I knew I wanted to earn a place in that world. I accosted Jonathan at a Marvel summit and he said I could pitch." - Zeb Wells
