Yes I know it's been a while, but I've been very busy--anyway what could be a more fitting tribute for
Last time the illicit iron mine of the Earthern Fire Refinery collapsed. Now Toph's Metalbending is the only thing stopping the trapped survivors from being crushed.




Sokka is able to get Toph's Metalbending students to help dig them out.


Everyone is safe now, but the sky darkens and Aang has another vision of Avatar Yangchen. In order to finish his conversation with her, he'll need to repair his spiritual connection with Roku, so he can contact the rest of his past lives.



Aang sees General Old Iron emerge from the sea. Aang tells his friends, that he'll destroy the buildings, while they need to bury the armour again. But Loban has taken the mask, to be processed in his Fire Nation plants.
Sokka and Satoru go after him.


Meanwhile Toph has regained consciousness.


With all the buildings evacuated Aang, starts to destroy the main factory, but is stopped by Toph.


Sokka and Satoru are able to defeat Laoban's guards, but General Old Iron has finally made it to shore.






But the General tries to attack Toph and her students, leaving Aang no choice but to strike him.






Katara finds Aang at the remains of Lady Tienhai's statue that was destroyed by the earthquake. Aang is worried about the spiritual future of the world.

The local crane fish gather around Aang.

Centuries ago, Lady Tienhai came to admire the humans who arrived on her coast, due to the potential for growth and change.


Three months later

Those signs say Spirits in Chinese, in case you were curious.
Well this was a good story, even if it was setting up Book Two of Korra. Still if you wanted to learn more about Toph's relationship with her mother, tough luck.
