He writes fun stuff, he can be pretty decent with character drama, the way he plays with panel layouts is neat and he presents interesting enough ideas and concepts that capture people’s attention and imagination.
I read through most of his Iron Man run and right now I literally can't recall a single thing from it beyond soap opera romance shenangans with Jacosta and Machine Man
Tony Stark is working on virtual reality while battling an identity crisis over if he’s the real Tony Stark or just an A.I. duplicate that thinks he’s him after Captain Marvel essentially killed him back in Civil War II: The Inhumans Take Manhattan.
I really enjoy him on the secondary books. Its just a shame the guy who wrote the Spider-Man issue of She-Hulk and the Spidey/Human Torch mini didn't show up more when he wrote Amazing Spider-Man.
When the Outhousers pointed out that most of his Silver Surfer scripts were Dr. Who fanfic, it really cemented my dislike of his work. The stories about how he can't hit a deadline only make him look worse to me. I haven't liked much of anything of his for years.
Yeah, I wasn't reading Slott's Silver Surfer (I think I started to get sick of Slott pretty quickly in his Spidey run.), but Outhousers (Jude Terror probably) was pretty snarky talking about that run/DrWhoLite, brining it to the front of my mind and leading me to facepalm.
