I had pretty much instant Kentaro Miura vibes when i saw that page and this panel specifically evokes the feelings I associate with Berserk.

I am really curious how the story evolves, since I have no idea where it goes and that feels pretty good.

I don't think it's evolving much of anywhere; it's pretty close to the end of the story by all accounts.

(Watching where it's evolved from has been fascinating though; this is definitely one of those web comics where you can see the art style evolving. The early art style was very...sweaty, is the best I can describe it.)

I think you are right, but I could also see this taking another year or more to end in anything that could be labeled as "resolved".
