So it was really interesting to get a chance with this anthology and getting to do something for an explicitly Asian anthology, to work on an Asian character. Yea, I don't know....this interpretation of Cass being more "personal" just feels off.

What feels ooc to you? I really liked this story- and it's good to see something dealing with Cass' speech impediment.

The focus on romance, typical of Tamaki, but completely unlike Cass.

The interpretation I've seen on Twitter was that Cass' target was 'getting the words out'.

So you know how a disproportionate amount of writing is about writers?

I can't help but notice this is a story where the main character is perfectly articulate in her head but struggles to present the right words to the world.

(That last panel is adorable though)
