The beginning of the issue has "Miss Patton" telling Peter that she needs a place to stay for the night. Peter offers her his.







She throws Peter out the window. He manages to get dressed up as Spider-Man and takes on "Miss Patton" who identifies herself as "The Thousand". The Thousand ends up biting Spidey on the neck, paralyzing and knocking him out. He wakes up tied to a chair.





Heh, so Jessica Jones and Cindy Moon were both there when Pete got bit by the spider and so was this guy. Wonder if there have been any other retconned characters present?

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Thousand show up again.

One Million Ants could use an archenemy.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, he'd be perfect for Ewing's Venom. Irrational hatred of Peter Parker like Eddie, check. Body horror, check. Possesses people like a symbiote, but from the inside rather than the outside. Was a bully like Flash, but without improving himself later in life, and they would have known each other.

He's a better dark reflection of Venom - Eddie or Flash - than the overexposed flatness of Carnage.

It's definitely some effective body horror in the design, though. I'll give them that

IIRC, Untold Tales established that the same accident created Doc Ock... pretty sure that's not still canon, though

This story was clearly written with Flash Thompson and Betty Brant in mind, until editors stepped in and had them replaced with expies.

So, one of the SpiderVerse versions of Spider-man, but it actually bit Peter.
