Still a big "meh" from me, but that's also my reaction to anything related to Eternals. It's just not a brand I care about. I'll probably still see it, since Marvel has a good track record, but yeah, this just isn't doing it for me.

They could still be.

Celestials arrive on Earth and experiment on humans. They take the successes with them into space who become Eternals, and leave their failures on Earth, who become the Deviants.

Deviants spread and become dangerous.

Celestials send Eternals back to Earth to stop the Deviants messing with humanity, and otherwise to stay put.

The second Snap triggers something which allows the Deviants to become active again... Eternals come out of hiding.

Not entirely certain, but it looks like the Eternals still may be. Originally, iirc, they were all from the same stock, but the Celestials basically forked humans into three paths. The MCU Eternals might still be, while the deviants might be something completely different.

I guess this big impact on the ocean we see here might be the thing mentioned in Endgame?

This looks really good, aside from Kro's CGI at the end, though I wouldn't be surprised if the Deviants looking a bit off was intentional. I just hope the purported plot leaks aren't real, otherwise a lot of interesting characters might not show up again :-(

It gives me some idea of what the plot of the movie is going to be, so that is good. I was very much in the dark as to what the movie was going to be about. Now there is going to be a baddie, and a world ending threat, and a bunch of superpowered misfits come together to stop it. And also explain something about the deep time mysticism behind the universe. Just two questions remain, what costume are the main goodie and main baddie going to share, and what colour will the skybeam be?

Also yay for the villain seemingly not just being an evil mirror of the heroes. An asymmetric finally battle would be nice to see in an origin movie.
