This is...actually clever, a guy saving the world just to make himself look better and such and intriguing turns on things so can't wait to see more.

Eh, that's Number One, he's the villain of the piece, not saving much of anything.

I absolutely agree that this series is fun though.

See Dragonflyman is far more self-aware about how the world works. Sure Dragonfly's world is more gritty, but they work on similar principles.

I do hope it's not true that every Earth except Earth-Alpha ruined themselves in war though. That seems like a waste of a multiverse.

Fortunately Number One probably isn't a very reliable narrator.
