In some possible futures, Rachel Summers has a child with Franklin Richards (in at least one possible future, the child grows up to be a real jerk), so really, it's Summerses all the way down.
I don't know what amuses me more: 1) Reed Richards trolling the various incarnations of Kang by pretending to be one of them they've never met before, just to fuck with their plans... 2) Kang noping the fuck out over baby-murder when everything else has been fair game.
Kang the Conqueror on-panel sprays the blood of Franklin and Valeria through the air as he hacks their time-paralysed bodies apart with a sword (and only three pages after he declares "Kang does not wage war on CHILDREN!") - I think his disapproval of Reed's lie is merely his hypocritical attempt to morally one-up what he sees as an inferior version of himself.
3) The TVA going "Nope. We are not screwing with Reed Richards. Nothing good comes of it. Ever. Last time we tried he screwed with our multiversal filing system and we still haven't recovered."
God, time travel is stupid, and rarely worth the effort or risk involved. Too many variables and paradoxes, to say nothing of how it messes with our understanding of speech tenses (if I travel to the future and come back, do I talk about it in the past tense because that's how it appears to me or in the future tense because it hasn't happened yet for literally anybody else on the planet?).
As Douglas Adams once put it, the only certain thing about tenses and time travel is that "future perfect" was abandoned when it was discovered it isn't.
I remember that. Considering how sloppy some of them were, its really kind of a surprise that only Black Widow (and maybe Strucker) figured it out.
I mean Abe was literally the only one acting with any sense during the Spider-Man Team-Up. Granted, while he says he's helping Spider-Man to preserve the con*, he's clearly doing it because he wants to do the right thing.
*Making an enemy out of one of the last remaining high-profile heroes is a BAD IDEA.
Goofy yes but not bad for an Anniversary issue and did like the conflict of Kangs all "I can't believe I was you/going to be you."
And for all his faults, Slott can still nail something like Ben telling Johnny "I know how ya feel, I'm there for you" to show even a bad FF writer can still grasp them now and then.
I hate how much Slott as a F4 writer reminds me of Slott as a Spider-Man writer. Knocking it out of the park with minis and guest appearances but frequently dropping the ball once he had the main comic. Hopefully Reckoning War will be an exception to the rule because I’ve been waiting for this forever.
As for the Thing…lets be honest. He should be the easiest character to write. The only bad Thing writer I can even think of is JMS.

There's fan-speculation Werner Von Doom was from a high-ranking Latverian family (explaining how he was a medical doctor), but he gave up his birthright when he fell in love with Cynthia.
Maybe Nathaniel Richards started the high ranking Latverian family.
Did we ever follow up on Doom's realization that someone (he assumes him) had ruled Latveria in the distant past as the "Iron Baron?" I sort of figured there might be a time-loop thing going on there.
