Wait...wasn't Glida a blonde? Or am I confusing her with Grace from the animated series?

That is one disturbing Two-Face...face. The strands of...is that skin or muscle? The way it's peeling off can't be a good sign. Like he's going to lose even more of his face over time. And that eye is...it looks like a cybernetic implant (something an alternate version of Deadshot might get), but I'm getting the feeling that isn't the case. Does it still work? Can he move it or are the muscles for that gone with most of the surrounding socket tissue?

Gilda in The Long Halloween had dark hair.

As for his eye, who knows. It depends on the artist. Some depict him as being completely blind in it, others don't. A few times he's been depicted as using an eyedropper to keep it moist.

No idea. I saw Long Halloween is going to be collected in a "The Batman" boxed set along with Year One and something else (Ego, maybe?) so I assume the movie will be drawing from it.

Is "Long Halloween" popular because Batman isn't quite at the top of his game? The World's Greatest Detective doesn't figure out Gilda was Holiday.

Jeph Loeb writes Batman as smart but not "two steps ahead of everyone." In the last chapter of HUSH, Batman briefly wonders if Hush is really Maxie Zeus. .

I think there's a certain appeal to showcasing an iconic character early enough in their career that they still have a lot to learn and are allowed to make mistakes without the fandom flipping out.

Also Loeb and Sale combined work a lot better than they do separately.

Per TV Tropes, it also made a good first impression by being a self-contained story, at a time when the main Batbooks were jumping into crossovers every other week.
