This is from AfterDark #1.
A decaying man enters a diner.
He doesn't want to say goodbye so he keeps her ashes with him instead. Her ghost haunts him until he keeps his promise. He eventually begins to spread her ashes at the various places they spent together. As he does so, he finds out he's leaving behind parts of himself as well.
