There is one core Kirby thing I always come back to when doing superhero comics. The question “What would Jack Kirby Do?” is something I regularly think. Most creators have their own answer for that, but mine is almost always, “Make up something new?” While this is a book which tries to take from a lot of places, it’s also a book which generates a lot of new stuff. I basically made up another 40 Eternals to complete the 100. -- Kieron Gillen

Can't help feeling this is the necessary shadow of the recent X-Men "democracy by telepathy" concept, in that even if everyone connected to the uni-mind gets a vote, that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to vote sensibly.

The difference here, to me, is that the uni-mind creates a barrier to voting, as opposed to opening it up. From the descriptions, the zero votes crowd include enough Eternals who either didn't care enough to vote or specifically can't vote because of the closed system. With Krakoa, it was portrayed as something everyone wanted to do and Sersi even vouched for the process.

[snark]Of course, with Jean, she can always change your vote if she "knows how you really feel".[/snark]

Not very fond of the idea of the Damocles Foundation. I remember when they tried to have the Inhumans have a big company operating in the human world and it didn't turn out to be great. The Eternals should have an existence apart from humanity, imo.

Olympians too. And the X-Men. And Spider-Man. Superpeople and corporations are such a mixed bag that I'm pretty hesitant on the whole concept.

I liked when Batman and Spider-Man tried that out. Heck, I’m surprised they haven’t done an Iron Man Inc. sort of thing yet with all the Iron people running around.

Of all the characters to franchise their superhero identity, Tony Stark should be the obvious one. Locate and support those who emulate his example, and find them before too much time alone inevitably turns them into bitter rivals jealous of hsi success.

I remember having idle thoughts about a "Tony Stark sponsors other people in powered suits" thing.

The Damocles Foundation is actually an old idea that's been brought back here, they were the villains of a number of X-force stories back in the day where they were up to no good involving Sunspot's supervillain clone Reignfire

The team teamed up with Selene to put a stop to this

To be fair the Damocles Foundation existed before this series. Before the Inhumans example too i believe.
