Except of course that includes the misconception of Gautama Buddha as being gigantically fat, and Ganesha as being the "main" Hindu God.

And Islam and Judaism aren't included because that would mean *thinking* about the nuanced implications of this idea and we can't have that now can we

Tbf, including Islam brings with it a difficult decision about how to visually represent the god/leader of the religion, so he's probably not unwise to have dodged the issue

Oh, don't get me wrong, it's still terrible, it just shows that Ennis has advanced from his Preacher days, where he was apparently under the impression that you had "Southern Protestant Christianity" or "atheism" as your only two choices.

Unless he thinks that Hinduism and Buddhism vanished after Christianity, since we see it on a timeline...

I hope I'm not being overly sensitive here, but a lot of this series is a blonde, White woman demeaning the histories and culture of other races and this issue has her outright replacing the gods in their religions. There's also the depiction of the Jesus figure as White which is another thing I have an issue with. I know Garth Ennis is smart enough to see this as he's writing, and the fact that he continues to do things like this turns me off any future projects. I'm actually interested in what he'd do for Peacemaker...but I don't know if I want to risk it.

It would have been better if the whole series was about Marjorie's shennanigans and her sister trying to catch her. That whole "Stan" thing is just boring and uninspired.
And in that last part, Ennis could at least have the guts to feature Marjorie saying "everything is forgiven" on a Charlie Hebdo cover.
