Since Iron Lad is an alternate version of Kang ('cept when he isn't), that's technically true.

(Now, if Janet had been the blond one, Kang'd be all up in there. Because Nate and his blonds.)

Any writer since could've also given Jan a similar push as they've tried with Carol.

Yes, but it's been downhill from there. That was her last big chance - unless perhaps she'd ended up saving the day instead of exploding at the end of Secret Invasion, I guess.

With her 'dead' for so long, and then a new Wasp created to mesh better with the cinematic universe, there's never been another opportunity as brimming with potential.

And let's face it, if Nadia can't hold down a series, Marvel is not going to try with Jan. One may as well wish for a Hank Pym Ant-Man series!

This, so much.
It was ONE hit during one hell of a mental breakdown (which, people tend to forget, Janet encouraged as it was how she got to marry him... stupid weird seventies).
And even THEN, not only HE never blamed her, he blamed himself. There was this AMAZING arc in the West Coast Avengers where he went from suicidal to accepting that he was not his many hero identities, that he was enough as Hank Pym, and that he (and Janet) could move on separately from what had happened (and then he found that his ex-wife was not really dead and... I honestly forgot what happened to that sublot). But he became better. And then, writers obsessed with the status quo, deleted that and I hate it.

What *are* the root causes of Tony's problems? Tony himself would probably say "Howard Stark." Or "I built a suit of armor to save my life and avenge Ho Yinsen, but somehow the murderous terrorists who kidnapped me were the real victims."

I used to think it was "Tony got addicted to alcohol because alcohol is addictive."

I mean it can pretty much be boiled down to "Howard Stark" or more specifically the fact that Howard Stark was an abusive alcoholic with all the emotional stability of a Dalek on cocaine who raised his son in the single most toxic and awful environment possible for someone born with Tony's level of privelege

The longer an Avenger is around and the more popular they become, that is almost inevitable that their father will be revealed as being abusive, an alcoholic or both. Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Hulk, Venom, Hawkeye, the list goes on. I’d include Eddie Brock but I don’t think he’s an Avenger (Flash Thompson was, though!).

Yeah, a lot of people forget that Jan herself is morally iffy at best in that storyline. "Oh no, Hank has put on a new costume and is pretending to be someone completely different who murdered Hank Pym. Maybe he's in need of help and support to get him through what is clearly a severe mental breakdown? Nah, this is my shot to manipulate him into marrying me!" (Note to Jan, tricking someone into marrying you is never an ok thing to do.) Like shit, at least Hank realizes that hitting Jan is wrong and he feels bad about it. I don't think Jan ever acknowledged that what she did was pretty fucked up.

Considering Fortnite: Battle Royale is probably canon to Earth-616 thanks to the events of Chapter 2 Season 4, and given the nature of the all-consuming time loop at the heart of its lore, does that mean Thor did in fact meet Noobmaster69 in-person?
