Jan. 23rd, 2022 12:13 am

Sonic rushes to draw the Badnik’s attention and fend off the encroaching invasion while Amy goes to help the civilians and rally anyone willing to fight. As fast as he is, though, Sonic isn’t able to stop some of the Badniks from breaking through.

And with that, Sonic and Amy part ways once again. The mysterious figure watching them is frustrated over not only having failed to eliminate either hedgehog, but now Sonic is going off the intended track he set for him. But Orbot reassures him that Sonic’s current trajectory is still leading straight into trouble...

Date: 2022-01-23 03:24 pm (UTC)I do love how Flynn writes Amy and Sonic in this series. Amy still has a crush on Sonic but unlike the games she's not portrayed as a borderline psychotic stalker with a crush but instead she's a capable hero with a personality beyond "I'm going to force Sonic into marriage"
The difference between Flynn's Amy and the video game Amy is like the difference between the silver age Lois Lane and the modern Lois Lane.
Both versions of Lois are reporters with a strong attraction to Superman but modern day Lois Lane is more than just "Superman's Girlfriend" while silver age Lois Lane is the kind of person whose picture I expect to see on the front page of a newspaper with the headline "Manhunt continues as body count rises"
