What does is that thing Shadow used on Neo Metal? Is that a chaos spear? And I don't care what upgrade Eggman gave him, where's he getting the extra mass from? In Sonic Heroes, he had to cannibalize the Egg Carrier he was on to get as large as he did, using Chaos's data to mold it as Chaos molds its own mass.

Yes, I believe that’s meant to be Chaos Spear.

I believe Metal consumed what was left of the robotic facilities and ships he built into the Island to transform himself here. The actual transformation scene was a two-page spread, I cut that so I could post more of the other pages, sorry. If there’s anything you’re confused about then chances are the full issues have a clearer answer. I’m sorry if my cutting work is sloppy.

Rereading the issue, it looks like it was just the giant Eggman statue and statue base built around the Master Emerald Shrine used to remake himself.
