After failing to find Charmy back at Seaside City, Sonic gives chase to Eggman’s Faceship and finds himself at the site of Eggman’s next attack...

































Gemerl reunites with Sonic and apologises for his earlier behaviour before being informed to help Cream with the rescue shuttle. Rouge subsequently contacts Sonic and says she’s gotten some intel for where Eggman’s going to strike next, and while Shadow and Omega are already en route to intercept, they might benefit from the extra help. But having noticed the Zombots are no longer obeying Eggman, Sonic can’t help but worry about things going from bad to worse...

I had a pet get badly hurt several years ago so Cream's distress at seeing her Chao suffering here hit me very hard

I didn't say it in the recent Deaths of Wolverine post, but it's why I can't really get behind infecting someone with cancer... it's just too far for me, even if they might deserve it.

I hope one day we will have reached the point where we can cure all types of cancer and no one else will have to lose loved ones to it

Sadly, Gemerl's change in mission parameters isn't going to help any. The damn things can't be destroyed. Reducing attempts to simply detain and disable instead of trying to destroy them could prove...costly.

That statement from Sonic really makes me want to see some sort of Future Cream, a la Future Trunks or Maria Renard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night... or like a cross between the two.

Maybe Gemerl is being a bit of a jerk, but he is not wrong in saying you need to reduce your threat level. Look at how much goop you have on you at the time!

Also liking that we're seeing more of Gemerl. Why reveal that he's alive if you're not going to put him in more games Sega?
