Man, the biggest thing I hate about DC these days is that nothing seems to count. Unless it does. And then it doesn't. But then it all does. Unless it still doesn't.

So this version of Guy gets killed being a stalker douche. The character won me over when he co-starred with John in the GL book awhile back, so this leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

What the bloody hell...? Why would Ice do that to Guy?! Chance is right, she didn't need to kill him. Guy isn't the nicest person, but he doesn't deserve to be literally frozen solid.

I was rather curious about this series. I wanted to know who did it. But this is just absurd character assassination.

Except Born Again was reflected in the other titles, at least. In Spider-Man there was an issue where he visited Matt after his building was blown up and later confronted the Kingpin over it.

This being "Black Label" this is not going to be reflected in other titles.

This isn't the first time I've seen King make comments like this in recent months and they are baffling.

The issue is that it becoming canon ultimately depends on how much other writers and the editorial liked your work, if it inspires people to build on what was established. Snyder talked about that very directly and gave that as the reason why he sought to tie so many things up as he didn't want to force his stuff on the next writer, but still wanted those elements to be there if someone wanted to continue with them.

King, instead, seems to... I don't even know how to put it as his sentiments just seem so weird.

As a later note, what makes these comments even more odd is that King actively does not seem at all interested in what other writers have done with those characters or how they had setup things. If you look at his Batman run, he completely ignores everything Snyder had done just before him.

Which is all fine, expect then to start going on about how his stuff will be canon is just confusing as then respect others' work on that front.

Hold up, do Green Lantern rings record their wearer's death? Seems like it should so that when it seeks out a new wearer and returns them to Oa it can file a report, so to speak.
