Issue #2'd ended on the protagonist, Levi Kamei, acknowledging his connection to that force encompassing (and composed of) all plant life.
Issue #3 began on him, having once again slipped back a freshly constructed plant body to his lived-in human one, following his friend Jennifer's desire to help him.
She had access to an MRI machine - and he was in it.

In she came, to find plants growing out of him.
One of the growths puffed in her face. She inhaled, and they were growing on her too.
They were both in the Green, mentally - in the realm of plants, separated from each other.
Levi, trying to find Jennifer, met another woman - one who'd been calling to him.

Jennifer, trying to find Levi, was saved from a lumbering denizen of the Green by another man.

Levi asked Ivy for help, and was taken to a second Ivy, on a throne.
That one had no time for man's wasting of the Green, or for the green man before her.

She lashed out at him, impaling him on thorny vines and bearing him towards a giant flytrap's mouth.
Then Ivy, wanting to protect her friend, lashed out at her crowned self.
The attacking Ivy responded: " Oh, Ivy, must we do this again?
" Do you not remember why we need me?
" You allow yourself to care for things that do not know the meaning of it.

That was Levi, freeing himself.

" My name is Alec Holland.
" And I was once what you are now.. avatar of the Green. "

(The giant in the third panel is what Jennifer got saved from.)
