Hard to believe this is the same woman who got violently defensive when the X-Men politely asked her if the Inhumans could maybe reign in their peanut-butter death cloud before it horribly killed any more Mutants.
Hickman breaking them up, bringing back Black Bolt and returning the royal family to Earth was all incredibly disappointing. Becoming rulers of a space empire was the most interesting thing the Inhumans have done.
And all for his big dramatic Avengers storyline where Black Bolt... provided nothing of any import, gets beaten up by Thanos, and then killed by the Children of Tomorrow at the start of Secret Wars. What a great character arc.
Okay, it tore a massive fissure in space and time that nearly allowed the Many-Angled Ones to take over the universe, the very thing Star-Lord tried telling him would happen, and didn't even take, but that last one's more on Hickman (and those stupid aliens) than Black Bolt.
Maybe unleashing the death-cloud that gave Kamala Khan her powers? ... much as we all love Kamala, the massive negatives of that one do outweigh the positives.
Probably, but I'd say it was unlikely they'll ever get as big a push again.
Apart from the X-Men being back in the fold, the Inhumans would still be a very bizarre concept to get a lot of focus; a secret society with a fractious monarchy made up of a near incestuous Royal Family who are prone to more in fighting than even most REAL Royal families, and a genetically engineered underclass.
They work fine as guest stars, as the mysterious society that the heroes have to deal with, the foreign nation with whom deals must be brokered, but as Main Characters, I just can't.
And as an isolated series, or occasional guest stars to contrast with the other heroes I would say you are absolutely correct.
As a major push for "These are the next big characters who are the relatable heroes to be integrated into the mainstream of the MU on a par with the Avengers or X-Men", I'd say not so much.

(Funny, seeing this bit in light of Royals doing that subplot with Gorgon being in love with Medusa.
... that was a weird choice.)
