Meanwhile, you cannot tell me there isn't a single technopath (or whatever someone who can directly interface and control machines is called) on Krakoa that could have shut Moira down or tore her apart.

That's just part of Krakoa's philosophy of purity over all other concerns. Throw Madison Jeffries in the Pit for trying to build a home for Danger. Don't let Danger in - she's only a former X-Men in good standing with the power to control Sentinels. Fuck around with the brain of the world's smartest man. Slam the door in Franklin Richard's face when it turns out his X-Gene is fake somehow - he's only a part-time universe creating God. Etc.

Moira was kicked out for planning to sabotage Krakoa. Xavier's the one who's committed actual sabotage.*

*This is hyperbole. Xavier just an idiot.

Jeffries' crime was apparently trying to build a habitat for Danger on Krakoa. Apparently that somehow hurt it.

I would think it's okay, but some people aren't comfortable with thier significant others being friends with their ex.

Not to mention that Mary Jane still has feelings for Peter, so maybe she thinks that it would go further than friendship ?

Not saying it's okay, but it happens.

Now wait for me to be wrong and we find out that Mary Jane made a deal with Mephisto and being with Peter undoes it.

That has nothing to do with her responsibility. If they went out for coffee to talk and THEN she cheated on Paul, that's her being irresponsible. Her trying to turn his worldview against him as if he was the one at fault is just low.

There are people who think it's irresponsible to go and hang out with an ex that you have strong feelings for.

I am not saying I agree or it's right, but there are people with those views.

It's dumb, but it exists.

Yeah, it's not clear. And I'm willing to have a little more patience until it's explained what that means. This little adventure does show that for the most part, their feelings about each other haven't changed, so that's a little more insight than we had before.

I agree. On the contrary, if they have coffee and just talk, that's being responsible. If it goes further than that, that's...okay as far as responsibility goes. It's not very nice, that's for sure. If it goes further than that and she starts cheating on Paul regularly, THAT'S irresponsible. She should be honest.

Possible reasons Mary Jane is acting like this:

1) A villain threatened to kill a million orphans if Mary Jane has a conversation with Peter.

2) A classic Ebert Idiot Plot.

And there we go, folks: finally caught up on a plot thread from 4 months ago and learned precisely nothing.

Moira is still Evil and Robot. MJ is still Sad and Quiet Angry. Peter is still In The Doghouse.

I remember back when Shortpacked! was summarising the X-Men movie's treatment of Cyclops as being akin to having a disembodied butt flying around to constantly poop on him.

This has somehow become the experience of Peter Parker and all of his fans.

For 14 years, now.

The big problem with this whole “what did Peter do?” mystery is that it requires everyone talking about it to be deliberately obtuse. Considering how exposition heavy comics can be, it reads as especially jarring.
