Well, ......she's filling the wife role perfectly. The neighbors won't gossip and report him the the SP so quickly(as opposed to being single), she doesn't involve herself too much about what he does for a living, shes a good mother-figure(as for care) for Anya, AND she's extremely gulliable. She's perfect for what he needs for his mission.

Oh, and the last thing, he knows if his mission goes "south"/bad that Uor can handle herself from danger and protect Anya.

All these things combined? His decision to pick Yor is genius.

As an aside, I know the Mangaka has said he doesn’t have any particular affection to Yor or Anya and they’re just there to make the spy story he wanted to tell more marketable but ...

I really want a sequel series that follows Future Anya when this inevitably falls apart. Right now, she’s being held back by her child’s body and brain. Teen Anya is going to be terrifying…especially as she spends more time with her parents. I’ll be disappointed if that girl hasn’t toppled a few empires by 25.

Aww, that's disappointing. Yor and Anya are my favourite parts. If anything, Loid is the least interesting for me.

Obviously this is filtered through other sources in other languages but - in what little content there is - it seems like the whole series is something he's disinterested in and not JUST Anya and others (as I originally thought)

I’d argue that Loid did everything right with Anya. He went with a shady adoption agency because he knew he their records would be incomplete and he could falsify his own as needed.

How was he supposed to know about the secret experiments?


I don’t think he put any thought into Yor beyond the simple convenience of “you need a boyfriend? I need a wife”.

Yor is a great mom but her actual job is to not draw attention to herself or her family. Yor’s murder bimbo tendencies make this impossible.
