For the life of me, i cannot get excited about Shang Chis sonic rings. Huge disservice to the character saddling him with those visually boring plot devices.

I forget, are these the same rings the Mandarin once had?

No these are different rings that Shang-Chi’s father was trying to get a hold of. (In the MCU the Mandarin/Wenwu is his dad but that’s not the case here.)
