The intent of these posts is to chat and have some fun and, sure, vent a little as required. Reasoned debate is fine, as always, but if you have to ask if something is going over the line, think carefully before posting please.
Normal board rules about conduct and behaviour still apply, of course.
It's been suggested that, if discussing spoilers for recent media events, it might be advisable to consider using the rot13 method to prevent other members seeing spoilers in passing.
The world situation is the world situation. If you're following the news, you know it as much as I do, if you're not, then there are better sources than me.
The World Cup continues, though now with the England team.
The Golden Globes announced their nominations
The UK is facing the... "challenging" combination of the first serious cold weather of winter and a series of overlapping strikes which will hit transport, nursing, driving tests, postal services and a few other key areas from now into the New Year. And our Government's reaction to it is to consider new legislation banning certain groups from striking.
Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, the large and recently collapsed cryptocurrency exchange, has been arrested in The Bahamas for Financial offences.
Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio dropped on Netflix and it is a marvel! Visually stunning stop motion, engaging characters, a fantastic voice cast (Including Cate Blanchett as Spazzatura, a monkey who can't talk, yes she was THAT keen to work with Del Toro) and the repositioning of the story to the 1930's allows for a story where the Island of Lost Boys is an entirely new take on horrifying.
Doom Patrol season 4 also arrived, but I haven't had a chance to catch up on that yet.
