The man he'd killed to take the role had been the first, at the Game's opening in 1922. Captain America and the Winter Soldier Special #1 opened on Bucky reviewing that moment in time.
' This is what I know. ' he thought, having reviewed the first Revolution's written record.
Mr. Fortunov's other invitees arrived.
(" Prince Wulf " indicates that Mr. Fortunov of Latveria is one of that country's ruling family around that time - before Doctor Doom took their throne for himself.)
He proposed the " circles " part of the Century Game structure exposited in issue #3, clarifying to the soon-to-be-Revolution " It is a game. "
They turned to regard the thin man in the coat.
" A single star. " said Mr. Fortunov, after Ana painted Ika's point.
(That's the codification of the Century Game's " weapons of enforcement " - its Starpoints.
Also, that's a prosthetic right arm the thin man's got.)
The players of the Century Game declared themselves.
" Then it's settled. " said Mr. Fortunov, now the Power.
" Let's begin. "
So the game ran, from 1922 to the present day.
Bucky's move was immediately countered.
" Mr. Barnes.. please do sit back down. "
(Yes, Gavrilo the Revolution is a fictionalization of Gavrilo Princip.)
(" Zola's rocket display " happened in April 2022's Captain America #0.
The bit about " the Dryad " follows from Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #3's assertion that Peggy Carter's career, including her leading the Daughters of Liberty as the Dryad, had been as an unaware Starpoint of the Century Game.
" Self-aware " and " malfunctioning " emphasize that the Money does not view pawns as human.)
On his own time, Bucky reached out to Peggy.
That conversation gave him what he needed to announce his next move in the Century Game.
" I'm ready. "
He announced the certain result of talking to Peggy.
(That's the cat Bucky adopted in his 2018 " Winter Soldier " miniseries.
His keeping it as the Revolution underlines how reserved his assumption of that role is.)
Issue #7 followed from that move - it opened on Steve Rogers, his arm still in a sling after Bucky'd sent a bullet through it into the first Revolution of the Century Game, recovering from the events of issue #6.
He went by Bucky's New York apartment and found a token from consolation from Bucky - a small one.
" Sharon. "
(They're talking about Ian from back in 2012, who took the " Nomad " identity during the All-New Captain America run that preceded Secret Wars.
Ian is indeed alive, and currently working with Sam Wilson in Captain America: Symbol of Truth.)
After, Steve and Sharon discussed the next move to be made.
They made some calls - organized a meeting, under New York:

Up in the back's the Redacted, that " metal mystery " of a Starpoint Steve convinced to switch sides in issue #4.)
