In Part 2 of our series, Nalyn, double of the Grand Duchess, was kidnapped by a shadowy wraith.
Brought by the wraith, a sorcerous 'Defiler', Nalyn is taken to the person in charge, Ghul.

They allow it. They're *evil*, they aren't *rude*!
Nalyn immediately takes advantage of this break to, after going to the bathroom, blow an emergency hatch and escape the only place she can: Outside!

Wait, Nalyn, are you sure you thought this through? They're called *sky* ships for a reason!
I guess that's what you get for hiring a stunt-double. Stupid stunt-double.

That bit at the end is a spell-bomb from her brownie friend. Her friends are also awesome, but they aren't stunt-doubles so I'm not going to give them much coverage.

They successfully parachute down to their ship, and return home. But there is a problem- Krossos tried to kidnap the Grand Duchess. Prince Atkorm chews Nalyn out for not going with enough guard- not even he knows it wasn't Nydia, presumably the part about her kicking ass and taking names while clinging to the side of a float ship was left out- but in any case, this violates like a hundred treaties.

The war is on.

Comic wise, this is about the end of issue three btw.

They're just the people who were on the Intrepid Explorer, the ship she was natched from, and hit before things got too far. The Brownie should know, as does the ship's navigator (not in scans), but they're loyal to Nalyn not Nydia anyway.
-I mean, you'd think that once the real Duchess, nasty little brat that she is, got word that she had supposedly been kidnapped, she'd say 'oh, that's just my stunt double; you needn't bother rescuing HER, she's not me'. -
If the Krossian plot had worked, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what would've happened to Stunt Double (though with some regret- the king and Prince Atkorm seem to like her) so the country could avoid being blackmailed. But better still to rescue her and not let it slip that there's a double at all, y'know?
