So is every supercake section itself made up of many smaller cake sections with their own layers of frosting in-between, or did all the citizens of Smallville use shrink rays on their slices after acquiring them? Because otherwise, even allowing for coloring differences, I can't see how that slice came out of that cake. Unless the sense of scale is all off and that's a giant's house, I suppose.

Clearly. The odd thing is that the slice is (roughly) triangular as if it had come from the centre, and yet the icing is also on the outside. This suggests in addition to the sub-levels of frosting, there are are also additional concentric rings of icing towards the interior.

Kandorian Fractal Sponge may not be the easiest recipe to follow ("Add eggs, stir until mandelbrot" being on example) but the end result is worthwhile.

It's Clark's own recipe for Kandorian Shrinking Cake. If you take the cake out of the protective glass container, it expands to original size (no doubt bursting the building it's in and crushing innocent bystanders in the process).

The cake looks as if its a bit taller than Supes and the same radius as it is high. So, let's assume a cylindrical cake with radius 2m and height 2m. This gives us a cake with volume 25 m³, which at the density of sponge cake (300 kg/m³) comes to 7500 kg (about 8 short tons). How big is Smallville supposed to be? It's possible the real reason people didn't eat it all is that he way overcatered.
