Mutants going to Limbo. Didn't they try that a few years back and it went hideously wrong? Vaguely recall something like that...
Maddie having a portrait of herself in her office. Okay...
-"I'll gladly be in Hell so long as Ben and I can be together"- "Actually, given the way my life's gone these last fifteen years, I'll probably enjoy it. It'd be a change of pace."
Making MJ's Aunt Anna murderously insane and violent and then bunging her in your typical comic book mental hospital is absolutely a choice I can see modern Spidey writers (or the editors) making without even a second's hesitation.
"Maddie having a portrait of herself in her office. Okay..."
She's doing the Spider-Man meme. When in Rome...
It's wild that MJ would ask Peter if Ravencroft is safe. I mean, it's slightly more safe with Dr Kafka gone but Carnage used to go on a killing spree every couple months there.
But if Carnage is on a rampage right now, that means he's not in Ravencroft, and therefore less like likely to harm Aunt Anna. So that's sort of safe, right?
Safer than Arkham at least. Or just any regular prison in the DC universe.
"Don't worry, MJ. Your aunt will be fine. After all, there's very little chance she'll be forcibly inducted into some kind of black-ops government program on threat of being killed."
It always makes me laugh when I see the Hannibal face mask used given that design was created for the film version of Silence of the Lambs. (In the book he just wears a hockey mask and the filmmakers went through different designs that would show off Anthony Hopkins' face more.) I don't even know if actual institutions even use that type of restraint.
I can't take the Maddie and Ben storyline seriously when Jean used her psychic abilities to give Madeline her memories and a page later they said there was absolutely no way to give Ben Peter's memories, and our current status quo drives out of that ridiculous contradiction.
Seriously. They could have at least TRIED to come up with an excuse as to why it wouldn't work. Maybe the damage to his brain meat is such that memories inserted just fall away? Then, at least, they would have to fix THAT problem before returning his memories?
Oh. Paul is still here. What a delight. Perhaps he'd like to try some of the Krakoan medicine. Then Peter will know right away what the source of the problem is. C'mon, Paul. Take one for the team.
