In the midst of all the doppelganger nonsense, some jerks decide to harass Johnny and Ben bumps in to an old girlfriend.

These are the sort of geniuses that don’t see any problem with harassing hairy Canadians in bars or puny scientists and end up being surprised when they get stabbed by knife hands or smashed by giant green rage monsters.

Guy appears to be rude -> Attack him.
Wouldn't want to see what they do someone who cuts in lines.

... not meaning that to be rude, just legit asking.
Every character is someone's favourite, after all.

... this is actually Sharon, right? Not a Skrull or a robot? Just, she's not suffering or being melodramatic. Seems a little suspicious.

Paul Ryan was, in every sense, a technically excellent artist, but the 90's did not agree with him. (Compare to say Gary Frank who wasn't particularly "Image" in his look, but could work with both real world and comics trends of the time.) And his young characters...really didn't look young. I feel bad for ragging on a guy who's no longer around, was a consummate professional, and had the bad luck of coming into the industry first with the Image style, and then the move to a more Manga-inspired aesthetic, but I think his F.F. run should be looked at as a lesson about how not to play to an artist's strengths.

Those people don't usually know they're actually picking on Wolverine or the Hulk in disguise, do they? Meanwhile, these guys very much knew who they were dealing with.
