The sheer menace of the Dreaming Celestial is undermined just a little by the way its design looks like it has big googly eyes. Anyone else? No? A'right...
To broadly summarise: Ages ago, the Dreaming Celestial got into a disagreement with the other Celestials, who knocked it out and buried it on Earth. In an alternate timeline, this drove it insane, and it decided to wipe out the entire universe and rule what's left. To that end, it corrupted Galactus when he was last on Earth, so that his hunger would drive him to consume the universe. (there's also something to do with Simonson's Eternals series, but aside from the DC's involvement it's not terribly important to proceedings, so half an ear is plenty here.) This is where the time bubble comes in, which can only be entered at a certain time. Back in Avengers Nebula learned of the bubble and wanted what was in there, either to destroy the universe, take it over, or take over the entire omniverse (it changes. Sometimes from panel to panel. The only justification is Nebula is insane. As for the later retcon about being Ravonna... there is no explanation.) Having gotten stuck just outside the bubble with Doctor Druid, she's trying again via the Fantastic Four, so she jumps out by possessing Johnny, and has by this point jumped into Sue because everyone's noticed Johnny's acting a little violently crazy. She did this just as a horde of Deviants loyal to the DC attacked, and Sue and Johnny are presumed dead, which is why Reed's (over)acting the way he is.
There's some other stuff going on, but that's the very general gist.
