Very concerned that the Watcher might go through my trash...

Star Thief seems to be one of the rare success stories where "what if we just left the crazy-powerful guy alone?" actually worked.

(Well, it would probably work with guys like Molecule Man and Sundown but people keep poking the bear)

So Vance really likes the redheads, huh?

I'd say Star Thief's being a success story is helped tremendously by his obscurity.

Surely, once you've got a rocket going, it would be easier for Stane to send his trash at the sun or into interstellar space than deliberately aiming at the Moon, which you might want to colonize someday anyway. Is he Ted Danson from The Good Place?

"Well, obviously, the dilemma is clear. How do you kill all six people? So, I would dangle a sharp blade out the window to slice the neck of the guy on the other track as we smoosh our five main guys."

You're assuming a base rationality and competence in long-term thinking on the part of people in power, instead of " Out of sight, out of mind! Not our problem anymore! "

Plus, if they fuck-up the moon prior to terraforming, they can sell a long term "clean up the moon" initiative and make money off that too. They don't want to fix problems; they want to continue making money off of problems they caused.

Yeah, but one really has to be TRYING to hit the Moon from the Earth. It would take more effort to do the calculations to get the rocket to the moon than it would to just send the rocket up and stop worrying about it. Unless we're to assume that Stane DID launch the rocket in a random direction and the Inhumans just happened to be very unlucky.

Yeah, this looks like it's aiming to be a metaphor for actual incidents of dumping on the territories of abused natives, but as you say, the science-fiction side of things doesn't really hold up.

Both of those are freaking hard to do. Getting a rocket to the sun actually even more so than getting one out of the solar system.

Anyways, the scans make it sound like Stane's aim was to kill the Inhumans so he could plunder their tech. Getting rid of their trash was secondary.

I like how Medusa laughs off Vance being polite as excessive formality, when we all know that if he hadn't she (or Gorgon, or both) would've exploded and tried to murder the entire team in a rage.
