I love how Gillen has said the impetus behind The Power Fantasy is the thought that if most of the Avengers REALLY let loose - like, if Thor and Storm had a no-holds-barred gigantic brawl - then logically, millions would die, if not the entire Earth...

...and this entire comments section is following that train of thought down an entirely different track, along the lines of "a world with the Avengers, X-Men, Inhumans, Eternals, etc., on it got taken down by four xenomorph queens? LMAO, what?!? Why didn't one of the heavy-hitters take 'em down? Where's Thor or Legion or Galactus in all of this?"

Similar to how Ewing's Immortal Hulk also had Banner speculating on what would happen if he really REALLY let go. Like, this scenario should conceivably have a Banner who's blissfully peaceful because he has a Hulk who's been able to indiscriminately scratch the 'SMASH' itch for years against a target that no-one wants him not to hurt.

Well, in fairness, Legion is gone and Galactus wouldn't give a damn.

That's not very planning-ahead of Galactus. If I knew there was a box of cookies I wasn't allowed to touch except under specific conditions, and I heard someone was going to pour fire ants all over them, I'd intervene. I might not be given a cookie the same day, but at least I'd guarantee I could get some someday.

The planet is just as alive covered with Xenomorphs as it is under other circumstances.

If the Annihilation Wave was basically just an irritant to a drained Galactus then Xenos will amount to a spicy little kick in his meal.
