I feel like Neron was not that investing with keeping the map. He is amuse with the chaos situation going on Earth.

Neron actually tried to destroy the love between Wally West and Linda Park during the whole Underworld Unleashed nonsense and almost succeeded, until Wonder Woman hogtied Wally and Linda with her magic lasso to get them to realize what they were doing.

Er...not quite.

Neron forced Wally and Linda to surrender their love in a Flash story some time after Underworld Unleashed, as part of a larger plot to find his own way into the Speed Force. His ploy failed because it ended up corrupting him in reverse: taking that love into himself meant that he started viewing the damned with compassion and suffering as they themselves suffered. Wonder Woman got Wally and Linda to confess their separate deals with Neron to each other, but it was the feels Neron had usurped that ultimately stopped him.

For a good while, I kept waiting for that to happen to Mephisto when they finally realized they needed to reverse One More Day.

...so that didn't happen. But it was a nice thought for a bit.
