Everyone always says Claremont's writing was soap opera, but this feels far more soap opera-y.
Misunderstandings, explosions, tantrums... all we're missing is love triangles involving siblings.
I'd say Warren would've probably been safer going after Candy, but judging by this series and its track record, there's no way he'd have managed to extricate himself.
Either he'd have said something stupid, Candy would've refused to listen, or something would've attacked them before he could say the crucial part.
