Dr. Octopus trucks the amnesiac Spider-Man in to thinking they are partners and sends him to steal a MacGuffin from the Army.

With the MacGuffin successfully snatched, Spidey returns to his partner. Now comes the inevitable betrayal.

Thankfully, John Jameson is hot on Spidey's heels.

I’m not even disappointed that nobody commented on my previous Amazing post. This story is a bit of a slog. Things pick up with the next issue though. Lots of moments of Jonah being irrational.

In Which Doctor Octopus Discovers Spider-Man Being A Wise-Ass Is Apparently His Natural Disposition.
Almost makes ya feel sorry for him.

(so much for the ol' "Spidey quips to cover up his fears" explanation.
And really, after a few years of successfully crime-fighting it wouldn't make much sense. Peter has to have figured he's not an inexperienced chump who has no idea what he's doing.)

ah yes they adapted this in the 90's cartoon. They combined it with the Kid Who Collects Spider-Man and added an annoying cab driver

Sorry about not commenting before, it's just... this story has been done so much across different franchises and media over the years, it's hard to even really know what to say here.

There's no need to apologise. If anybody should apologise, it is probably me dor coming off as passive-agressive. I still don't blame peoplemfor passing this story over though. It isn’t great.
