I was going to remark that Druid looking up even the entries on mechanical lifeforms was a suspiciously prescient move of his, and therefore he'd been replaced by a Thing... but fortunately he returns to form moments later.
Phew!
A competent Dr. Druid. Always a scary thought.


Can't recall entirely, but pretty sure a guest issue in the Busiek run said that one of Carol's villains had his mind wind up in the Doomsday Man (which is way less impressive than its name suggests).
So, uh, Monica may or may not be actually melting a person here.
