The old man is Abe Klein, Tony’s former professor. Tony pretty much forgets all about him after this. Why bother about an old professor getting caught in the crossfire when you can hook up with a hot Maggia princess?
You might remember Marianne Rogers from The Crossing. Her psychic powers were driving her mad, so Tony shuffled her off to an asylum where she was promptly forgotten.
