No Easy Reader this time, kids. Sorry. But you can have the Silver Surfer instead. Yay?

The fact that he has Silver Surfer written on his board is kinda adorable.

Meanwhile, a young reader Much Like You is getting lambasted for his mom for watching superhero shows and reading comic books--though in a world where superheroes exist, isn't that a bit like having an interest in politics? And is Spider-Man's presumed TV show the same one that Nicholas Hammond starred in? Is Spidey Super Stories Spider-Man a public figure who also stars in a TV show in which he has a secret identity and fights mobsters, but in the real world he fights Doctor Doom--oh no, I've gone cross-eyed.

Spider-Man and the Surfer get into a fight because, you know, they looked at each other. It's like a Pokemon thing.

Charlie stands on Silver Surfer's board and then nearly dies when Surfer summons his board, but Surfer keeps him from dying. Spider-Man realizes Surfer is a good egg because no bad person would stop a random child from dying.

Proving to your mom that superheroes aren't silly because they're real and also saved you from one of the dangerous items they left lying around seems like a poor argument, but also something that would delight Alan Moore, so there you are.
