This was good building up Rhodey as not just a pilot but partner for Tony that led to his rise in popularity.

La plume de ma tante, or My aunt's quill is/was a phrase held up as the sort of technically correct but practically useless thing you might be taught to say in a beginner's language class, or so Wikipedia tells me. Sort of a throwaway reference we might class as a meme today.

Ah, yes. Eddie Izzard's "Definite Article" taught me that. And that the tape will call you unpleasant things if you say that your uncle's pen is "bingy bongy boongy bongy.".
