Guy is transported into the middle of a warzone.

There is also a Green Lantern present. A fact that I am sure will sit well with Guy.

It turns out Guy’s yellow ring absorbs Green Lantern energy.

Those little aliens that got Guy in this mess are the Gardners of the Universe. They noticed the increased demand for intergalactic security firms and tried to recruit Guy Gardner to their cause. He agreed, but only on the condition that they called themselves the Gardners of the Universe.

What a useless ring for anyone but Sinestro, who fights Green Lanterns on the regular. How often did Guy get into fights with lanterns?

"Gardners of the Universe" sounds close to what you'd expect a corps of beings dedicated to tending to plant life across the cosmos to be called.
