Looks like only Garth and Imra kept their original codenames. I liked the corny old Boy/Girl/Lad/Lass codenames.

Yeah, I liked the slow but steady introduction of so many classic Legionnaires into the title without the feeling of cast bloat which has so often plagued later Legion reboots.

I can't blame them for updating a lot of the names. It helped to act as something of a break from nostalgia or "greatest hits replay" to make this Legion era feel fresher. Sure, not every name was great, but it gave them more of a fresh, updated identity, which was probably much needed after the way the previous era limped to a close.

And I have to say, I really liked the artwork of the new series. Crisp, clean, and they looked like actual teens.
