It's weird, because being a shapeshifter seems like knowing when to best drop the dramatic reveal should be kind of built in.

(Starting to wonder if she actually is a Skrull at all. Given she lies about everything else...)

On paper, the idea of a Skrull infiltrator who is forced to improvise when the original plan goes hideously wrong almost at the moment it begins and then defects for love sounds fine.

The execution, however, is a hideous mess.
