You'd think supervillains would be wanted criminals who don't have known addresses or accept unsolicited invitations, so maybe the mastermind should've invited a bunch of heroes who are known not to get along. Like the X-Men and the Avengers. Or the X-Men and the Inhumans. Or the X-Men and the Eternals.
