Didn't Strange abdicate in the first place on account of using some questionably moral magic in World War Hulk? You'd think that making use of Darkhold lore might not be the best idea for his successor right after the starter pistol. (That thing wasn't also known as the Book of Sins and the Shiatra Book of the Damned just because they're catchy titles...)

I really like the way Djurdjevic draws Doom, so this cover makes me happy. The fact that there will be more Doom drawn by Palo also makes me happy.

So yeah, definitely checking this out.

I agree with you on how Doom looks here, I could totally rub myself on that thigh...
And yes, I know Doom would kill me as soon as I approached, but some things are worth dying for.

I don't like the way this storyline (and its parent in New Avengers) has been building Doom up as a serious contender for Sorcerer Supreme. His M.O. has always been (other than that one hiccup during Waid's Fantastic Four run) relying on technology and having just enough mystical expertise to provide some additional depth and story background what with the annual struggle against Mephisto's demons that he used to have. I'd say the mid-level henchmen of most of Strange's major enemies should be more credible supernatural threats.

I don't mind Doom in the mix (after all, he did come in second at the last Sorceror Supreme tournament), but I'm starting to get tired of "Doctor Voodoo, Novice of the Supernatural."

OK, he messed up. Do we really need 4 issues (at minimum) of showing the consequences of his actions? At what point is Remender going to write a Drumm who IS worthy of the job?

In the old days (*shakes cane*) something like this would be over in 2 issues, three tops.
