The Death of Black Canary I

scans_dailyA few weeks ago in a post about Roy Harper thehefner mentioned how Roy was there for Dinah when her mother died. I remembered how moving that story was, so I dug up my issue. 7 and 1/4 pages from a 23 page story.
The story starts in Seattle, where Ollie and Dinah are interrupted by the dreaded middle of the night call.
Hal comes through.
It's always about Ollie, so even though his defacto mother-in-law is inside dying, Ollie takes time for his drama.
The next 19 or so pages are the history of the Black Canary I as well as the early years of Black Canary II. Well, you know, until it got rewritten in GA/BC.
With Roy's recent injury, I would love for Dinah to become close to him again and have her help him recover. One, because I like their dynamic and two, because really what else does she have to do these days with Ollie in the JLA and BoP disbanded?
Yes, I admit this is quite melodramatic but since I went through something similar, there were tears in my eyes at the end of this.

Yeah. Regardless, the two of them should get more page-time together.
