Warning: Lots of Reptilian Cuteness Ahead
Apr. 1st, 2009 10:55 amLots of images below the cut, so this is not safe for dialup.
Most of you who know me, at least in passing around here, know of my strong, unholy love for Victor “Anole” Borkowski. And some of you may remember the Anole megapost that
bebopbeats did way back when, in the long ago days of Livejournal.
Of course, dear old Vic has had a lot more appearances since that post was created, and I feel perhaps the megapost is due for an update.
But it’s April First, so I’m doing a Firebreather Megapost instead.
Ladies, gentlemen, and reasonable approximations there of, THIS is Duncan Rosenblatt

As you can see, he’s a little different from other boys. Duncan is the son ofFin Fang Foom Belloc

and Margaret Rosenblatt.

Like most children of divorce, Duncan splits his time between living with his Mom (who is his primary guardian) and doing weekends with his dad. Of course, when you dad’s a dragon, weekends with him usually don’t mean going to football games or watching TV

Of course... sometimes they DO.

Not surprising, since he IS the protagonist of a comic book series, Duncan has some trouble fitting in at school.

(being picked up from school by a space ship doesn’t really help things)
But Our Hero is not without friends.

Unfortunately, he also has a lot in the way of enemies.

And he also has his share of parental drama, mostly from Daddy Dearest

Okay, I’ve pretty much run out of images that I really wanna show you all and CAN show you based on the page count limit (though I COULD draw a lot more from the Iron Saint one-shot and vol 1), but I wanna get to the point and say, “If you aren’t buying this book, WHY?”
That is all.
All images from Firebreather vol 1 1-4, Firebreather: Iron Saint, and Firebreather vol 2 1-5, by Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn

Replacing [] with <>. This code ensures that images are cut on IJ and LJ friends pages. Remember, unlike with a regular [lj-cut], there is no hyphen in the div cut.

Date: 2009-04-04 01:06 am (UTC)I also heard this comic is being made into a tv movie and series for the Cartoon Network for the 2009-2010 season.
It looks very promising. I'll have to check out both the comics and the series when it comes out.
