Are Gwen, Mary Jane, and Carlie supposed to look about 16? I guess Gwen and Carlie could be, from the story description, but Mary Jane would be in her late 20s if she's Spider-Man's ex.

Mary Jane looks tough and a bit slutty. Has that ever been her character description?

I miss the days when they'd have a basic model of what a character looked like. The only reason anyone would be able to figure out who's who is by already knowing that these are women from Peter Parker's life. Gwen is the one with the headband, Mary Jane has red hair, Felicia is the one in the Black Cat costume, and Carlie is the one left over.

Someone has a thing for high heels. If it's Carlie's first time wearing them, that would explain a lot.

Does anyone else expect Austin Powers to rip the wig from Felicia's head and say "That's a man, baby?" And I'm not talking about the lack of freakishly large breasts here.

Finding out that it was Carlie Cooper didn't help any, either, because that just left me thinking, "Hold on...if this is who I think it is...how is she one of Spider-Man's greatest loves when I can't even remember if the two of them have even been in contact recently?" Has she been in any of the recent issues? I remember seeing stuff about Michelle and Norah, but no Carlie.

She was just in the most recent issue! Telling Pete she's not sure she wants anything to do with him anymore because of the way he seems to treat his friends more like resources than people all the time.

You know, I've bought some comics over the years which had covers that made me go, "Urgh..." and made me somewhat ashamed to bring up to a cashier and pay for, but I've gotta say that I'm glad I don't want this comic because, honest to God, I think I'd be too embarrassed to let anyone else see that I was buying it. To me, the cover is just THAT BAD. And it's not even the stupid poses that are the worst part, it's that Carlie, MJ, and to a lesser extent, Gwen, all look like they are freaking jr. high schoolers who are trying to be "sexy". Ugh. And the more I look at it, the worse it gets.

Ugh, I just hope they don't push Carlie too much into the spotlight when they write about her and Gwen, or shove it in our faces on how great of friends they were. I still want a good Gwen/Peter story dammit!

It's like they're those kind of paper cut out figures you're supposed to put different outfits on. Their faces scare me frankly.
