Via Alas -- Kevin Smith was booted off of a Southwest Airlines flight for being too fat. He's justifiably pissed off and has been regularly pasting SWA on his Twitter feed since. Unfunny Business over on JournalFen has a more complete link round-up on this one.

Brian Hibbs posts his yearly Bookscan analysis, tracking trade and GN sales outside of the direct market. Interesting bit: while Marvel routinely dominates the DM, it does look like DC comes out ahead in book sales.

The scan tonight is the cover to Alpha Flight #41, from the exceedingly uneven Bill Mantlo run. Still, this pretty much delivered what it promised on the cover: Northstar fighting crocodiles.

I imagine being mind-controlled into an object of desire didn't sit well with the speedster for a number of reasons. Having the team leader laugh it off likely didn't help.

You know, I understand air crews being iffy around letting obese people fly (and block escapes, and cause problems for all the people they're sitting around), but if the guy was already seated with his belt on (and the flight wasn't even full)? Yeah, that's not cool.
